Arabel a.k.a Autumn is my inspiration. Our farm has been named after an old promess I’ve made to her when I was struggling to finish Law school without parting with her, as she was my sole escape from my busy life and best friend in rough moments. A promess that one day, “Autumn” would have her own barn, where she can spend the rest of her life in peace, as long as she wanted to stay with us on this earth. Hence “Autumn’s Stables”.

Owned by Jessica since 1999, and show partner for many years in dressage (training level, first level) and then in hunters (on lease to a junior rider), Arabel was always in the ribbons. Despite her smaller size, Arabel earned 8 for her walk at her CWHBA inspection (Mrs. Eve. Mainwaring comments: “ excellent walk”), as well as many 7’s (overall conformation, impulsion, general impression, frame, front and hind legs). Then, at the ISR/Oldenburg NA, she also did well, obtaining all 7’s and 6’s that would have placed her into the MMB if her pedigree wasn’t incomplete.

Arabel’s grandsire is also damsire to approved Hanoverian stallions Escudo I and II. Arabel’s sire, Akrobat, was a licenced CWHBA stallion that has been schooled up to 4th level before his death. Arabel is the ideal broodmare to produce excellent medium sized amateur prospect. Her foals are friendly, intelligent and foward, they get from their dam a strong hindend, good frame and lovely head.

Arabel has been retired from the breeding shed in 2009 and she enjoys a well deserved semi-retirement since then. At 17 yo, she’s still sound and ridden once in a while. She is trained up to 2nd level and is a great schoolmaster, so much fun to ride. She is a once in a lifetime horse.
